SPORTS DAY 2024

Despite the rain, the young people threw themselves into the activities showing new skills and enthusiasm for activities some had never tried before.

They showed good team commitment through dressing up and displaying excellent team work.

There were a lot of happy smiling faces and a fun day was had by all.

The team effort doesn’t just mean student, this also included staff who helped to facilitate the confidence to take risks in trying new sporting activities.

Westway Centre – Rock Climbing

As we come towards the end of the summer term, several school trips have been organised.

On Monday 8th July 2024, students and staff from Edith Kay School went rock climbing at Westway Centre.

The centre is one of London’s biggest and best climbing centres.

They organised taster sessions for everyone and allowed everyone to develop their rock climbing skills that included the chance to belay (use a device to control the rope for the climber) and use various holds to help them climb up.

Everyone was given a chance to try out different rock climbing surfaces.

It was a great outing enjoyed by all!

Basketball Friendly

On Friday 5th July 2024, students and staff competed in a friendly game of Basketball.
